Frequently Asked Questions
What if I am super awkward?
I totally get it! When my husband and I got engaged our photographer told us we were one of the most awkward couples he had photographed (he was a family friend and the photos turned out great despite our awkwardness!). If there’s hope for me, there’s hope for you.
My goal is for your photo session to be fun and easy going. I am your #1 fan and will be hyping you up the whole time, and yes, I do offer posing advice and prompts to make you look and feel more natural.
What should I wear?
I always recommend wearing what you feel confident and comfortable in. You’ll enjoy the session and the end results much more if you’re not focused on how weird that one shirt fits, or how those super cute heels you just had to wear kept sinking into the dirt.
If you have multiple people in your photos, try to avoid clashing patterns.
Remember to take phones and wallets out of pockets, hair ties off wrists, and watches off if you don’t want them in your photos.
What if the weather is bad?
If the weather isn’t cooperating for your session I am happy to reschedule, wait it out (if possible), or take some wild and fun photos in the rain, wind, or snow.
If you aren’t able to reschedule for some reason, your deposit will not be returned to you.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
I am a mom of three, I totally get it when something unexpected comes up (hello flue season!). Please let me know as soon as possible if you are unable to make your scheduled time. If you cancel less than 24 hours ahead of time and we are unable to reschedule, you will lose your deposit.
What if I want something different than what is detailed in your pricing packages?
Let’s chat! I want your photos to be exactly what you are looking for, and at a cost that fits your budget. If you don’t see a package that fits your needs let’s talk about your options and piece together a package that better suits you.
What if my kids are fussy or not into it?
Have I mentioned I’m a mom? I love kids and I totally understand grumpy toddlerhood. My goal is for your kids to have a good time too, I come loaded with fart sounds, goofy faces, playful prompts, and sometimes bribery in the form of cookies or their favorite candy (whatever you approve).
I promise I will get some sweet photos regardless of whatever mood your kiddo shows up in. At the end of the day, don’t sweat it, focus on having a good time as a family and playing around like you normally do, I’ll capture the moments as they come.
